This is an advanced level course for the experienced paramedic in regards to caring for a critically ill or injured patient. Topics include: Trauma Critical Care, Aircraft Fundamentals, Safety and Survival Flight Physiology, Advanced Airway Management Techniques, Neurological Emergencies, Critical Cardiac Care, Critical Respiratory Care, Toxicology, Obstetrical Emergencies and Critical Care for the Mom and Neonate, Pediatric Critical Care, Critical Burn Care, Medical and Endocrine related Critical Care, Advanced Assessment, Advanced Pharmacology, and a thorough review of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology. Successful course completion allows the candidate the opportunity to sit for the Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certifications for:
Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C)
and / or
Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C)
