ERTSS is now a designated as a Licensed Provider ( LTP ) with the American Red Cross! We now offer Certification Courses offered through the ARC ( American Red Cross ) including community / lay rescuer CPR, AED, First Aid along with their Resuscitation Suite programs of BLS, ALS and PALS. ERTSS will also offer Instructor Courses and other specialty ARC Courses such as Wilderness First Aid, Emergency Medical Responder ( EMR ), etc.

BLS
The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history. The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education. ALS
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) blended learning course provides healthcare providers the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, recognize and care for adult patients experiencing life threatening medical emergencies. Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, the ALS course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.  Upon the successful completion of the ALS Course, participants will receive a 2-year ALS digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to the certificate and training history. The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education. PALS
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) blended learning course provides healthcare providers the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, recognize and care for adult patients experiencing life threatening medical emergencies. Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, the PALS course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Time-Saving Options for Experienced Providers

For experienced providers, The American Red Cross offers a brief, in-person skills review before testing (Review Option), as well as the option to skip the review and immediately take the skills test (Challenge Option), so you can earn your American Red Cross recertification even faster.
* The Challenge Option does not include a remediation opportunity. This option is only for those who are fully prepared to complete the skills and written test with out review.

Note: Throughout the course, whether attended primarily in person or online, students will learn care steps that are consistent with the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR)  International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) and the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Instructor Courses   
Available for First Aid/CPR/AED, BLS, ALS & PALS
This course will train instructor candidates to teach discipline specific course they are taking. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current  American Red Cross provider certification ( in the discipline they are wishing to teach) or equivalent.  Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities.

Instructor Bridge Courses

The online instructor bridge courses are designed to allow instructors currently certified with approved, equivalent training organizations to become certified as American Red Cross instructor. To participate in the instructor bridge, candidates must hold a current provider level (basic-level) certification and an equivalent instructor certification from the American Heart Association or ASHI. Candidates must meet course prerequisites and upload qualifying credential to complete the training and earn American Red Cross instructor certification.Those who have enrolled in this online bridge course on or after May 13, 2021 will not be required to complete an Instructor Update in order to teach new Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020 content releasing in June 2021.
