For any students who may wish to use the AHA Heartsaver CPR AED certification for their United States Coast Guard credentials, You also provide the USCG Approval Certificate. The USCG will not accept the AHA Heartsaver /CPR/AED certificate without this separate certificate. If both are provided, they will accept.
Note*****: The United States Coast Guard no longer accepts the AHA 1st Aid certification. They do accept the Heartsaver CPR AED certification.
Here are the steps:
1. Login to your AHA Instructor Network Account
2. Click on “Courses”, then Heartsaver
3. Click on Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED under Instructor-Led Training
4. Scroll to bottom of page, under Additional Information. Click on – “Miscellaneous”
5. You will see the USCG Approval Certificate. Open and complete. Save and print or
email to student.
