American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course

The AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Course is designed for Individuals who work/and or has a background in the Clinical Setting and wish to instruct the AHA BLS CPR program. This registration is for The Online AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Course and Classroom Tuition. The AHA BLS Instructor Candidate Must Purchase their Instructor Materials ( Instructor Manual & Courses Video ).

In order to register for the AHA BLS Instructor Course, you must meet these COURSE Pre-requisites: THESE ARE IMPORTANT!

  • Have a Current American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification.
    Be at least 18 years old
    Experience working in the Healthcare Environment.
    Be prepared to complete and pass the American Heart Association BLS Skills check-off
    Be prepared to complete and pass the American Heart Association BLS Instructor Written Exam.

**** Those who do not successfully pass the AHA BLS Skills & Written will not be allowed to continue and must reschedule for the next AHA BLS Instructor Course. Come to class prepared to do this!

If you meet the above qualifications, then Follow these steps:

  1. Register and Pay for the AHA BLS Instructor Course. Your Online AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Course Access KeyCode will be emailed to you.
    Follow the included instructions to complete the Online Course. This must be completed prior to attending the Classroom portion.

Following successful completion of the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Course ( both Online and classroom portions, The candidate also must:

  • Be successfully monitored by a Training Center Faculty member teaching their first course. This must be completed within 6 months of the Instructor Essentials Course completion date.

 

*** If you also plan on teaching AHA Heartsaver level courses ( Community level CPR/AED and or 1st Aid ) you must also acquire the AHA Heartsaver Instructor Manual along with the appropriate AHA Heartsaver Course Videos before teaching those programs. Not Required to attend AHA BLS Instructor Course.
